Inner City Lacrosse Thriving in Denver!

I was proud to lend a hand at a recent event for Denver City Lax. Below are a few of the shots from a fantastic showing of the film at the D.U cable center.

Denver City Lax is a Colorado non-profit organization that provides a sports-based youth development program to under-served inner city neighborhoods in the Denver metro area.

The educational opportunities associated with lacrosse, from elementary school through college, are numerous. City Lax believes providing opportunity and building character in our youth is essential to raising the community leaders of today and tomorrow.

Lacrosse is a sport that offers both on the field and classroom lessons. The game provides a framework to teach and learn character, and to gain knowledge about basic human values including honesty, courage, equality and respect.

in bringing City Lax to Denver.

Mission
CityLax is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing the game of lacrosse in a public-private partnership with the Public School system and in partnerships/alliances with community-based organizations.

Focus
Using a character-based strategy of program development, we are currently focused on introducing/expanding lacrosse into schools and geographies that historically have had little or no access to the game and that are predominantly comprised of populations from lower income families.
